The Musurgia online catalog is organized to provide clear and accurate representations of vintage, condition, dimensions and originality of our unique pieces.
The purpose of Musurgia's web site is to provide general descriptions of the pieces we have for sale. Detailed descriptions and the answers to specific questions can best be discussed over the phone or via email. You are cordially invited to make an appointment to stop by and see our collection for yourself. Feel free to do all of the above in addition to browsing our site.
New York String Service, our parent company, has a 30-year history of being called upon to answer questions concerning provenance, originality, vintage and restoration. We work with collectors, musicians, museums, auction houses, insurance companies, police departments, and on many occasions, other dealers. Our written appraisals are accepted internationally.
Payments, Terms & Shipping
You may also submit your purchase request securely online by clicking the Buy Now button. Product specific Buy Now links are located just below the price at the botton of each product description page. Our shopping cart system is fully encryped and final processing of your order is always handled personally by our staff. Your credit card payment is processed in house.
To hold a piece for 48 hours, submit a 10% deposit electronically by following instructions on the Contact page. Rest assured that all deposits are 100% refundable should you wish to cancel.
We accept checks, wire transfers and major credit cards. Transactions can also be handled securely online via PayPal, the internationally recognized leader in Internet payment services.
We ship instruments and other items on a 48 hour approval basis. Shipping charges and taxes are not included in the prices listed. Mail order shipments within New York are subject to sales tax of 8.875%. Shipments out of state are not subject to NY city and state tax, although he buyer assumes all other tax requirements of their municipality.
Returns If you decide not to keep an instrument shipped to you, notify us by telephone,
fax or email within 48 hours of receiving it. We'll take note to expect the
return. Please ship it in the same carton via UPS, insured for its full value.
We will refund the price of the instrument as soon as we receive it, provided
it arrives in the condition in which it left the shop. The customer is responsible
for all shipping charges.
