Stradolin Arch Top Mandolin (1938)

Stradolin Arch Top Mandolin (1938)

Stradolin Arch Top Mandolin (1938), made in New York City, sunburst lacquer with decals finish, maple back and sides, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, original black chipboard case.

Overall length is 25 1/2 in. (64.8 cm.), 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.) wide, and 1 15/16 in. (4.9 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 13 1/2 in. (343 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/16 in. (30 mm.). A beautiful, all original example of an early Stradolin-quite the nicest of these we have had. Finish is very nice with no fade; average checking overall and some chipping to the edges. Two repaired grain cracks to the sprice top near the tailpiece, otherwise no repairs or alterations. Extremely good player with an excelent sound-this instrument rivals many period Gibsons! An excellent value in a vintage F-hole mandolin. Excellent Condition.
