Fender Deluxe 8 High Steel Electric Guitar (1957)

Fender Deluxe 8 Model High Steel Electric Guitar (1957), made in Fullerton, California, blonde lacquer finish, ash body, original tweed hard shell case.
The Deluxe 8 is one of the improved mid-1950's line of Fender steel guitars...essentially a single-neck Stringmaster. The electronic set-up is particularly interesting, featuring two single-coil pickups which can be blended via a hidden rotary control under the bridge cover. This example is nicely preserved with a beautiful '50's Fender blonde finish and all original components, including the optional legs. A great sounding steel and a neat Fender collectible.
Overall length is 31 in. (78.7 cm.), 6 3/4 in. (17.1 cm.) width, and 1 7/8 in. (4.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 22 1/4 in. (565 mm.). Width of nut is 2 1/4 in. (57 mm.). Very nice and clean overall with some light finish wear and minor dings. All original with some added shielding under the pickups. Tweed case is also nice with average surface wear, plastic insert missing from handle. Excellent + Condition.
