Gibson ETG 150 Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Tenor Guitar (1956)

Gibson ETG 150 Model Arch Top Hollow Body Electric Tenor Guitar (1956), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark stained back and sides finish, laminated maple body, mahogany neck, original brown chipboard case.

Gibson's "bread and butter" tenor guitar from the 1950's, these ETG-150's are an easy-playing and chunky sounding four-string suitable for a range of styles. This is a nicely original example, which appears to have original gold plated parts on the body but nickle Kluson tuners…an unusual mix but everything is definitely stock. One of the nicest electric tenors we have ever had.

Overall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 23 in. (584 mm.). All original except for one correct but slightly later (1960's) Kluson Deluxe tuner. Very little wear and plays perfectly. Excellent + Condition.
