Danelectro Deluxe Model #6027 Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1962) Danelectro Deluxe Model #6027 Model Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1962), made in Neptune, NJ, woodgrain and cream tolex finish, masonite and pine body, poplar neck with rosewood fingerboard, original shaped hard shell case.
One of the rarest and coolest of all Danelectros, the "Deluxe" model was the company's fanciest guitar in the early 1960's. This guitar uses the same body and neck as the celebrated U-2 "Jimmy Page" model but with much fancier cosmetics and trim. Brown walnut-finished top with contrasting bound edge and white glued-on pickguard, white finished neck with fancy covered Kluson deluxe tuners. The Deluxe also features the more elaborate Longhorn-style electronics circuit, with concentric pots and a master volume control. A great sounding and seldom seen piece of Neptune cool. We currently have a nifty contrasting white finished model in stock (stock#4143) that would make for a great set! Overall length is 38 7/8 in. (98.7 cm.), 13 1/4 in. (33.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). All original and very nice overall; some average play wear and logo partially worn off headstock. Includes the rare original Masonite case. Generally Excellent Condition. Item # 3679 This item has been sold.
